"Pregnancy is a very special time in your life and it’s reassuring to have a familiar face who knows you and your partner well, and who is there to guide you from your first appointment right through to delivery.”   

To avoid disappointment, Dr Hartman prefers to not undertake the care of a woman whose baby is due during his annual holiday or study leave, the dates of which are available 12 months in advance.  

Dr Hartman does not share his work at nights and weekends, preferring to take on fewer patients to whom he can give more personal care. On the rare occasions when he is not available, because of holidays, significant family commitments or illness he will ensure a respected and experienced colleague attends your birth.
