For gynaecological consultations, a full medical history will be taken as described above.

In addition to a general physical examination, a vaginal examination is usually necessary and a
Pap smear may be taken.  

Dr Hartman will then discuss his findings and he may suggest further tests. He will discuss all the possible treatment options. If surgery is suggested, you will be given reading material and detailed information regarding any risks involved and your questions are welcomed.  

A written estimate will be given of the costs involved and the likely rebates from Medicare and
Private Health Funds.
